Best over time

Highest average across all seasons, at least four of them.

Slow starters

Began weak but found their footing. Worth getting through season 1.

The mid-run slump

Dipped in the middle, then won the audience back.

Collapsed like a house of cards

Ended on a final season far below everything before it.

Better every season

Every season rated higher than the one before.

The long goodbye

Long-running series on a slow, steady decline.
